|
Providing the South East of England with a powerful voice in Europe is one of the Assembly's key objectives. The Assembly has a permanent presence in Brussels, at the South East England Brussels Office , through the office the Assembly has direct contact with the European Commission, the Parliament and other Pan-European institutions. The office also facilitates networking with organisations from all over the European Union. Anke Seidler is Head of the South East England Brussels Office. Based in Brussels, Anke's job is to ensure that the South East makes its presence felt in Europe's de facto capital. Working in close partnership with sub-regional and county based partnerships, also represented in Brussels, the Assembly has been able to influence EU Policy and to lobby for funding under the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Structural Fund/ Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
