RPC Monitoring Working Group

The overall aim of the Regional Planning Committee Monitoring Working Group is to provide advice to the Regional Planning Committee on regional monitoring issues in order to help the Regional Assembly to act effectively in its monitoring role as the Regional Planning Body.

The Working Group solely consists of members from the Regional Planning Committee.

Terms Of Reference

A. Aims

  1. The Group will provide advice to the Regional Planning Committee on regional monitoring issues, and any associated regional policy or implementation implications arising thereof.

B. Objectives

  1. In an overall sustainable development framework, to help the Regional Assembly, through the Regional Planning Committee, to act effectively in its monitoring role as the Regional Planning Body.
  2. To maintain an overview and provide an overall member steer to the Regional Assembly’s work on monitoring.
  3. To consider the results of monitoring and advise the Regional Planning Committee and Executive Committees of any implications for the implementation and review of the Regional Spatial Strategy or the Integrated Regional Framework.
