Select Committee on SEEDA and Sub-Regional Working

Our last select committee of 2008-09 will look at SEEDA's approach to sub-regional working. The committee will examine both SEEDA's strategy and policy approach for this issue, as well as specific schemes and initiatives that SEEDA is engaged with. The committee would like to involve a wide range of organisations in a debate on this important topic and is keen to hear your views. We have commissioned a context and issues paper from consultants Educe and Makesfive to help frame discussions. A short summary of this paper including key questions we would like to gather views on, as well as the main document and appendices are available to download below.

Comments should be submitted electronically in word format to Tina Morris (tinamorris@southeast-ra.gov.uk) by Wednesday 26 November. Submissions should be no longer than 8 sides of A4 and please include a completed cover sheet with your response (available below). Written responses will be considered by the select committee during the course of their deliberations. Please note all submissions will be treated as public documents and will be be published on our website.

The select committee will meet in London on 16 January 2009. The committee members are keen for representatives from regional, sub-regional and local organisations to join them to discuss key issues on the day. Timings for this are to be confirmed, but please indicate on your cover sheet if you would like to contribute to the meeting in person.
