Consultation ran from 1 September until Friday 21 November 2008. We received around 1,200 responses on providing places to live for Gypsies, Travellers and Travelling Showpeople in the South East. These responses have been analysed and our Regional Planning Committee has recommended an option to the full Assembly. The full Assembly will agree its favoured option on 4 March and will then submit it to Government.

Key consultation questions included:

• Do you agree with the overall number of new spaces proposed?
• Which of four options do you support for allocating spaces to council areas?

To help clarify the issues surrounding this review, the Assembly has produced a short film including interviews with some of the people directly affected.
