Consultations

The Regional Assembly regularly holds consultations on matters of regional interest.

We consult on updates to regional strategies and other key policy issues. We also ask for views to feed into our select committee programme which reviews the work of SEEDA, the region's development agency.

Details of current consultations are listed below:

Updating our policy on aggregates minerals (sand, gravel and crushed rock)

15 May 2008 - 08 August 2008
The Regional Assembly is reviewing the policy in RPG9 and the draft South East Plan that splits provision of land-won aggregates into sub-regional allocations for each Minerals Planning Authority area (generally county or unitary council areas). We would very much like to hear your views on the options put forward in our consultation document. We intend to gain agreement on a preferred option which we will then use to revise the allocation in the policy.  We hope to submit our proposals for an amended policy to government by the end of 2008. To let us know your views, please use our online response form. Communications resource pack To help our partners advertise and explain the consultation process the following resources are available: Sample article - this sets out details about the consultation and can be used in magazines and on websites as it is, or with more local detail added (eg meeting dates, times and locations) Images - our logo and images of aggregate extraction are available to download from our online photo library …
