Regional Housing Forum

The Regional Housing Forum provides advice to the Regional Housing Board on delivery of South East England housing and related services in the region, particularly affordable housing.

The forum comprises representatives from local authorities, housing providers and builders, government and regional strategic bodies, economic and social partners, and other membership bodies, who have a shared and inclusive interest in housing and housing services within the region.

The forum provides expert advice to the Board to support consultation responses and strategy development. It also undertakes project-based work on matters of interest to the Board - for example overcrowding and research on the quality of private sector rented homes.

The Regional Housing Forum works alongside the Housing Advisory Group which provides guidance, support and local and technical expertise to the Regional Assembly on planning for South East England housing and housing policy issues, and in particular on the development, implementation and monitoring of the South East Plan and Regional Housing Strategy.
