Transport Solutions Around London

This study was commissioned by Government Office for the South East (GOSE) in February 2000 and undertaken by consultants KBR. The final report was completed and published on 22 November 2002, at which point it was handed over to the Regional Assembly (along with the East of England Local Government Conference and the Mayor for London) for consideration.

The consultant's recommendations were formally considered at the 12 February 2003 Regional Planning Committee (Notes) and 5 March 2003 Plenary meeting (Plenary Transcript).

The Regional Assembly's recommendations to the Secretary of State on the way forward were agreed at these meetings, and the formal response sent on 8 April 2003.

Following consideration by the Regional Planning Committee, the Regional Assembly made its recommendations to the Government on 10 August 2004. The Regional Assembly's letter can be viewed here.

The scoping study was jointly commissioned by the Government Office for the South East and the South East England Regional Assembly and was carried out between 23 December 2003 and 14 April 2004.
