The South East England Regional Assembly is working with the East of England Regional Assembly to develop an inter-urban bus and coach network.

The two regional assemblies have jointly appointed Richard Walker on secondment from the Department for Transport to help develop the project.

Work is focusing on the Thames Valley (mainly Berkshire and south Buckinghamshire) and along the South Coast, which are included in the RTB's programme.

Express Bus and Coach Summit

The South East England Regional Assembly ran a bus and coach summit in 2003, which looked at the opportunities and barriers for improving the bus and coach services.
