Opinion Polls

As part of the South East Plan preparation process, the Assembly commissioned MORI Social Research Institute to undertake a structured programme of public opinion polling. These independent polls took place at three key stages of the Plan preparation process.

Wave 1 of the programme took place in January - March 2004. Wave 2 of the programme took place in April - June 2004. Wave 3 took place during the South East Plan consultation period (24 January - 15 April). 2,000 people were interviewed face-to-face.

MORI chose a representative sample of people from across the region about their general views on the quality of life in the South East as well as particular issues such as transport, housing, employment.
