SustainabilityAt the 13th of July Plenary the Assembly decided to approve submission of the Draft South East Plan Core Document to the Secretary of state. Decisions made on the content of the policies were informed by the Second Draft Sustainability Appraisal Report. This report is an updated version of the Sustainability Appraisal Report that went out for consultation in January 2005.
The South East Plan – Draft for Public Consultation, which was published in January 2005 has been subject to an independent appraisal of the policies and proposals as set out in the consultation draft of the South East Plan. The findings of this initial appraisal, along with the responses received through the public consultation on the draft South East Plan, are used to improve the South East Plan prior to its submission. The draft Sustainability Appraisal Report and Supporting Annexes are
available below. On 29 November 2004 the Assembly agreed the draft South East Plan for public consultation. This decision was informed by a Headline Report on the findings of the draft Sustainability Appraisal Report on the draft South East Plan. An Initial Sustainability Apprisal was undertaken in autumn 2004. The key findings from this Initial Sustainability Appraisal of emerging policy was presented to the Regional Planning Committee on 8 November 2004. Copyright © 2004 SEERA Limited.
