Sustainability Appraisal Background Information

The sustainability appraisal non-technical summary is one of the Plan's six main documents. The full appraisal report and all supporting annexes are on our sustainability page. Previous versions of the appraisal can also be found on this page.

Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Implemention Plan

Policy CC2 of the draft Plan addresses climate change, promoting measures to mitigate and adapt to its predicted effects. The draft Plan sets out a commitment to develop and maintain an Implementation Plan to support this policy. A Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Implementation Plan has been prepared on behalf of the Assembly by independent consultants. While it does not necessarily represent Assembly policy, it offers practical advice illustrated, where possible, with examples of good practice.

The development of the Implementation Plan is part of the Assembly's contribution to the ESPACE Interreg IIIB project (European Spatial Planning Adapting to Climate Events) and we gratefully acknowledge the support received from the project.
