Journey to Work Research

As part of the supporting information for the preparation of the South East Plan, the Regional Assembly commissioned work considering the output of Journey to Work data from Census 2001.

Pan Regional Research

The Assembly jointly commissioned work (with the East of England, Corporation of London and Transport for London and other regional partner) into forecasting commuting in the wider South East. This report focuses on considering possible long term commuting pattern based on modelling to 2021. The report is in three parts:

Regional Research

The Regional Assembly has commissioned research to provide an improved understanding of where and by what mode people travel to work. This improved understanding can assist in the development of the Regional Spatial Strategy, so as to support the economic growth of the region in a manner that is socially and environmentally sustainable.

This report reviews historical, current and forecast data in assessing Journey to Work trips across the region. Part one of the report covers pan-regional and regional issues, Part Two sub-regional, and Part three contains the data draft from for the study.
